Destination Development Plan

Destination Wollongong, enabled by the strategic long term support of Wollongong City Council, is charged with
delivering visitor economy growth by positioning Wollongong and surrounds as the premier regional tourism, events and conference destination.

As part of our review into the regions tourism offering we identified the need for a more ‘outward looking’ or aspirational document which appraised our assets and how they could be turned into world class tourist facilities.

We commissioned a report by Cardno aptly named a “Destination Development Plan” which complements our Destination Management Plan and sets out the key strategic development focus for the sector.
